Job summary

GBA5 EntServ UK Limited is seeking a Project Technical Authority (PTA) to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of software change projects in Farnborough. You will shape technical solutions, guide engineering teams and ensure delivery from concept to customer acceptance in an Agile environment.

The role requires collaboration with PMs, Product Design Authorities and SMEs to define requirements, acceptance criteria and priorities, while aligning with product strategy and architectural

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical activities across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in Agile delivery using Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Strong requirements gathering and analysis, translating customer needs into system and software requirements.
• Ability to estimate work, identify risks and manage technical dependencies.
• Experience in Functional and Object‑Oriented design.
• Strong review and assurance skills including design reviews, code reviews and technical walkthroughs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative approach across multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility to meet UK Government security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide technical solutions from requirements through to delivery and customer acceptance.
• Break down complex technical scope into manageable work packages for Agile delivery teams.
• Create and maintain project engineering plans and technical backlogs.
• Work with Software, Systems and Operational SMEs to define requirements, acceptance criteria and delivery priorities.
• Ensure solutions align with product strategy and architectural direction.
• Support design reviews, technical decision-making and risk management activities.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress and communicate issues, risks and dependencies clearly to stakeholders.
• Support customer engagement activities alongside project teams.
• Ensure verification and validation activities support qualification and acceptance.
