Job Description:

TXM Recruit is excited to announce an opportunity for a Technical Product Support Engineer working with a leading manufacturer of innovative Rail and Traffic Management products.

Our client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer (Supplier facing) to join their Engineering team based at the Head Office in Doncaster. The role offers hybrid working arrangements.

You will ensure customer product and procurement support engineering needs are identified and supported across a range of products and markets, both nationally and internationally. This role involves liaising with suppliers to make engineering and technical decisions on behalf of the customer and the client, evaluating and mitigating risks in line with company policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in developing and implementing supply chain derived engineering projects for the UK and overseas territories.
  2. Ensure all technical support activities comply with industry standards, safety, and legislative requirements.
  3. Manage product warranty issues to enhance fleet performance and reliability.
  4. Identify and develop new products and services with customers, including engineering support and obsolescence management.
  5. Participate in regular supplier-facing contract and technical meetings to represent the technical support services engineering function.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
Essential criteria:
  1. Relevant Engineering qualification (HNC / HND or equivalent experience).
  2. Experience with engineering, safety, and operational requirements.
  3. Strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  4. Organizational skills.
  5. IT literacy.
  6. Full UK driving license (required for travel to customer and supplier sites).
