Job summary

Claims Recruitment Services is seeking a Technical Pricing Manager for a leading UK personal lines insurer in Reigate. You will own complex pricing models, drive improvements and apply cutting-edge analytics at scale with autonomy and influence.

The role requires strong statistical modelling experience (GLMs/GBMs), governance awareness and excellent communication with senior stakeholders. WTW Radar/Emblem knowledge and Databricks, SQL or Python are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and interpretation skills with a numeric degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering statistical models such as GLMs, GBMs or other relevant techniques.
• Experience with WTW software, specifically Radar and Emblem, with exposure to Databricks, SQL or Python advantageous.
• Strong governance awareness with understanding of regulatory and fair value requirements for pricing models.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to present technical findings to senior stakeholders.
• Additional qualifications or experience in Data Science would be welcomed.

• Devising and overseeing modelling and analytical techniques to improve pricing algorithms.
• Acting as the technical owner of specific pricing models, ensuring accuracy and governance.
• Managing major technical projects from inception through implementation with cross‑departmental collaboration.
• Identifying data-driven opportunities through MI interpretation and advising on actions.
• Leading sign‑off meetings with senior stakeholders, articulating benefits, risks and methodology.
• Mentoring and developing the analyst community, providing SME support and guidance.

We are recruiting for a Technical Pricing Manager on behalf of one of the UK's most recognised and celebrated personallines insurers.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically gifted pricing professional to take genuine ownership of complex models at the heart of a major personal lines business. This role gives the authority to drive meaningful change and the autonomy to shape how cutting-edge analytical techniques are applied at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Devisingand overseeing the use of modelling and analytical techniques to identifyand implement cutting edge improvements to pricing algorithms.
• Actingas the key technical owner of specific models within the pricingalgorithm, responsible for their accuracy, governance, relevance andongoing performance tracking.
• Managingmajor technical projects from inception through to implementation,collaborating closely with internal departments and external parties toensure requirements are understood and delivered on time.
• Leadingthe identification of challenges and opportunities through data and MIinterpretation, advising on appropriate action.
• Owningsign-off meetings with senior stakeholders to obtain approval forrecommended changes, clearly articulating business benefits, risks andmethodology.
• Mentoringand developing yourself and members of the analyst community, providingSME support, peer review and technical guidance.
• Actingas the first line of defence to ensure all implemented models adhere toregulatory and fair value requirements, escalating and owning anybreaches.

Key Requirements

• Stronganalytical and interpretation skills underpinned by a numeric degree orequivalent experience, with strong data manipulation skills.
• Significantexperience delivering statistical models such as GLMs, GBMs or otherrelevant techniques.
• Experienceof WTW software, specifically Radar and Emblem, with exposure toDatabricks, SQL or Python also advantageous.
• Stronggovernance awareness with a solid understanding of regulatory and fairvalue requirements as they apply to pricing models.
• Strongwritten and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complextechnical findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
