Job summary

Premier Foods in Worksop is seeking a motivated Technical Operator for a temporary position with the potential to go permanent. The role covers a 3-shift rotation (days/afternoons/nights) with a salary of £37,946 per year including shift pay.

You will operate production lines, ensure GMP standards and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience in food production, NVQ Level 2 in Catering, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial food production or catering.
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• A positive, energetic, and self-motivated attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Previous experience operating manufacturing or production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring production equipment and machinery.
• Carrying out routine line checks and basic fault finding.
• Supporting the achievement of daily production targets.
• Maintaining excellent hygiene and GMP standards.
• Completing production records and quality documentation accurately.
• Identifying and reporting safety or quality concerns.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth shift handovers and efficient operations.
• Contributing ideas for continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Operating forklift trucks safely where required (training/authorisation provided where applicable).

Contract: Temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent

Shift Pattern - The successful candidate must be fully flexible and able to work and rotate between shift patterns as required to meet business and operational needs.

3-Shift Rotation (Monday to Friday)

• Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm
• Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Nights: 10:00pm – 6:00am
