Role Description

What you become part of:
Bradford site is the largest drinks operation within Princes, producing a variety of soft drinks including Dilute to Taste (DTT), Carbonated, and Ready to drink beverages. It is also home to Capri Sun, which supplies all varieties to the UK and Europe. To improve our process systems' reliability and flexibility, we are introducing the Technical Operator role. The right candidate will train at our Bradford site and lead this work within an autonomous team environment.

What to expect:
You will play a key role in supporting operations by training and upskilling staff, working on a flexible 24/7 shift pattern. The role aims to enhance our maintenance technical skills, providing additional reliability support to our operations and engineering teams, and contributing to KPI delivery and plant improvements through CI tools and techniques. Further development and mechanical qualifications will be supported through training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe operations using Talk Safe and hazard spotting tools.
• Maintain high GMP standards and be audit-ready, ensuring product quality.
• Understand and contribute to Princes & Bradford strategic plans and values.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and utilities.
• Understand and help achieve department KPI targets.
• Deploy engineering technical skills to ensure equipment availability and performance.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibration of machinery.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment, and develop SOPs.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with engineering for major repairs and overhauls, and document all activities.

Role Requirements:

• GCSE Math and English Level 2 or equivalent.
• Good PC/IT skills; knowledge of SAP, HMI, SCADA, etc., or ability to learn.
• Experience in machine operation, setting, and maintenance is beneficial.
• Technical qualifications are desirable but training will be provided.
