Eligible candidates for SC Clearance will be preferred. This contract role is umbrella and inside IR35.

Job Title: Technical Operative

We are recruiting for a Technical Operative for a leading IT service provider based in Hatfield.

You must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance for this role. The shifts are 8am-4pm and 4pm-12am, Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a Technical Operative 1 in the Configuration department for our growing team. The role involves providing effective and efficient support to our clients, including:

• Basic to intermediate IT configuration services, competent at component level, and able to manage workload independently within specified timeframes.
• Software installations and configuration within existing IT infrastructure or pre-designed projects, with familiarity with current Microsoft desktop Operating Systems.
• Bespoke system work and in-house systems (training provided).
• Building various systems using detailed scripts (training provided); adherence to scripts is essential to avoid escalation.
• Effective upward reporting, requiring strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at various levels.
• Data input (25-50% of role), primarily manual on spreadsheets, requiring high attention to detail.
• Consolidating consignments for distribution.

Each worker has their own assignments but must understand how their tasks contribute to the overall order. Communication is key, especially if schedules are ahead or behind, to coordinate with supervisors and team leaders.

Additional Responsibilities

• Pallet movement and work planning.
• Ability to work towards targets and SLA, with good time management skills.
• Boxing and unboxing IT equipment.

This is an umbrella contract role inside IR35.
