Job summary
United Utilities is seeking a proactive Technical Officer to support the operational management of water production assets at Fishmoor Water Treatment Works. You will work with process engineers and specialists to optimise plant performance while ensuring regulatory compliance across sites.
The role focuses on analysing performance data, addressing issues, and supporting capital investment programmes to deliver safe, high-quality drinking water for customers in the North West.
Qualifications
- Five GCSEs, including Mathematics and English, at A-C (4-9)
- BTEC Level 3 qualification within the water industry
- Desirable: HNC or HND in engineering, science or technical discipline
Responsibilities
- Support the safe operation and optimisation of water production assets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental and water quality standards across sites.
- Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Investigate water quality incidents with the team and regulators.
- Identify asset requirements relating to performance, reliability and compliance.
- Maintain and review risk assessments and method statements for site activities.
