Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Technical Manager for an experienced team in Loughborough. This on-site role focuses on product development, quality assurance and supplier management to support continuous improvement across the business. You will lead the technical team, drive testing and compliance, and collaborate with suppliers and factories. A strong background in electro-mechanical or consumer products is preferred; travel to UK and overseas may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical management or senior technical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of product compliance and conformity documentation.
• Experience with overseas suppliers and factories.
• Background in quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Ability to mentor and develop a technical team.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Experience in electro-mechanical/manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
• Willingness to travel UK/overseas.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development and Existing Product Development activities.
• Take ownership of product testing, technical documentation and compliance.
• Drive supplier and factory quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to product and warranty issues.
• Provide cross-functional technical support to service and customer support teams.
• Manage, support and develop the Technical Team.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers, factories and internal stakeholders.
