Job description

Technical Manager / Development Engineer, North East Wales

Hays Construction is working with a Construction Developer & Contractor in North Wales to recruit a Technical Manager to join their team.

Reporting to the Senior Directors, you will be part of an experienced team of three and manage the technical functions of their construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Development Engineer or Technical Manager, preferably with a background as a Civil Engineer.

Your responsibilities will include managing design processes, external consultants, key stakeholders, and site engineers. You should be familiar with pre-construction programs, technical studies, and managing section agreements such as 38, 278, and 184.

Experience with SuDS, a strong understanding of Building Regulations and planning applications, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project, and familiarity with relevant software are essential.

A solid background in the Residential/Development sector and prior experience working for a Main Contractor are required.

The role is based in North East Wales, with sites across North Wales and North Shropshire. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Head Office.
