Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is recruiting for a Technical Manager in Sidcup to support the Head of Technical and oversee customer, site and compliance functions. The role focuses on product specifications, QC, audits, and food safety culture.

You will lead HACCP, BRCGS and Red Tractor standards, visit suppliers, manage labelling, and deliver training. A strong background in fresh produce, experience with retailers, and IT proficiency are essential; driving licence and Spanish language

Qualifications

• Fresh produce experience essential (fruit & veg).
• Knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP Level 3, QMS required.
• Experience with retail customers and specifications.
• Confident communicator with strong organisation skills.
• IT proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Spanish language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage product specifications and customer platforms.
• Maintain temporary spec trackers and due diligence systems.
• Investigate complaints and non-conformances, driving resolution.
• Support QC and deputise in absence of Quality Manager.
• Conduct supplier and third-party packing site visits.
• Maintain technical documentation and approve labelling.
• Lead internal audits and ensure GMP compliance.
• Lead HACCP team and support BRCGS and Red Tractor standards.
• Deliver training, maintain records, and lead SMM reporting.
• Host external audits (BRCGS, RT, LEAF).
• Drive food safety culture across site.

We’re recruiting confidentially for a growing fresh produce business seeking an experienced Technical Manager to support its Head of Technical and play a key role across customer, site, and compliance functions.

Technical Manager

Sidcup

£50,000 – £55,000 DOE

Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (flexibility required)
