Job summary

Alchem Partners Limited seeks an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical aspects of production processes and product development within R&D. You will drive technical excellence and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and product quality.

You will also develop strategies that foster disruptive technologies contributing to future revenue streams, while aligning with cross-functional teams and commercial objectives in a growing chemical group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related scientific subject.
• Significant leadership experience with technical and commercial responsibility.
• Experience in coatings industry is highly advantageous.

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager, someone who has a strong grasp of both the technical and commercial acumen for such a role.

The successful individual will lead and oversee all technical aspects of the production processes and product development within R&D. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and product quality. You will also continue to develop strategies that drive towards the creation of disruptive technologies which will contribute to future revenue streams.

Essential Criteria

• Degree in Chemistry or related scientific subject
• Significant experience at leadership level in a similar role, one with both technical and commercial responsibility
• Have experience working within the coatings industry would be highly advantageous
• Experience within the chemical space either manufacturing or R&D
• Proven experience managing technical projects and leading cross functional teams
• Strong experience of process improvement and quality assurance
• A commercially astute individual who can lead their technical team but also be a visible presence amongst the commercial teams and customers

In return our client is offering a salary of c£65,000pa negotiable doe, up to 20% bonus plus benefits including private healthcare, enhanced holiday allowance with a buy back scheme, regular CSM days and charity focused days.
