Job summary

Alchem Partners is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical function at a Derbyshire-based chemical manufacturer. You will work with customers to develop new products and guide their introduction into production, while collaborating with engineering and production to implement new processes.

The ideal candidate will have a Chemistry degree, significant leadership experience, and strong exposure to wet inorganic chemistry, with a proven track record in process improvement,

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related scientific subject.
• Significant leadership experience with technical and commercial responsibility.
• Extensive wet inorganic chemistry experience.
• Experience managing technical projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong experience with process improvement, QMS and ISO systems.
• Health and Safety management experience.
• Proven project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products with customers and lead their introduction into production.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to develop new processes and optimize current processes.
• Support management of the Quality Management System.
• Drive commercial success of the products.
• Lead the Technical function with coaching and mentoring of the team.
