Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Technical Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join the Tresham College Wellingborough campus. You will deliver high-quality light vehicle maintenance and repair teaching across courses and levels, using engaging materials and current industry practices.

You will assess student work, provide feedback, and support learners through tutorials and vocational opportunities, while maintaining records, safeguarding, and contributing to curriculum development and employer

Qualifications

• Level 3 relevant qualification with willingness to achieve teaching and assessor/verifier qualifications, alongside GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Up-to-date subject knowledge with experience working with diverse groups and a strong understanding of equality and diversity in practice.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and create a supportive learning environment.
• Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines, maintain high standards of performance, and work in line with organisational values.
• Committed to safeguarding, health & safety, and continuous development, with flexibility to work across sites and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

• Curriculum Innovation & Industry Engagement - Contribute to curriculum development, maintain current industry knowledge, and enhance learning through employer links, work experience, and enrichment activities.
• Quality, Administration & Compliance - Maintain accurate records, meet administrative and quality requirements (including IQA), support marketing activities, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards.

Role: Technical Lecturer - Motor Vehicle

Location: Tresham College - Wellingborough Campus

Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, plus up to a £10,000 market supplement, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time
