Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Technical Lecturer in Motor Vehicle at Tresham College, Corby Campus, to deliver high-quality teaching and support learners across diverse groups. You will plan curriculum, assess progress, and engage with industry to enrich learning opportunities.

  • Level 3 relevant qualification with willingness to achieve teaching and assessor/verifier qualifications, alongside GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

  • Quality, Administration & Compliance - Maintain accurate records, meet administrative and quality requirements (including IQA), support marketing activities, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards.

About The Role

We are currently seeking a Technical Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join our Motor Vehicle department at The Bedford College Group.

As a Technical Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Teaching & Curriculum Delivery - Plan and deliver high-quality teaching in light vehicle maintenance and repair across a range of courses and levels, using engaging and up-to-date learning materials.
  • Assessment & Student Progress - Assess, verify, and monitor student work in line with awarding body standards, providing feedback and interventions to ensure achievement and progression.
  • Student Support & Development - Guide and support learners through tutorials and vocational opportunities, promoting positive behaviour and helping them reach their full potential.
