Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH is seeking an experienced Learning & Development professional to design, develop, and evaluate technical training programmes. You will collaborate with SMEs, Learning Partners, and delivery teams to identify needs, propose blended solutions, and ensure timely delivery.

The role emphasizes instructional design, project management, and data-driven improvements to learning outcomes within a professional services context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• 4-7 years in learning and development, ideally with a focus on managing technical learning programmes.
• Understanding of instructional design principles, with some experience supporting the development of technical learning programmes.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and proactively drive projects forward.
• Strong ability to evaluate learning effectiveness through data analysis and apply insights to drive improvements in learning programmes.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams, managing vendor relationships, and engaging with stakeholders at various levels within the organisation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple learning projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in supporting senior leaders and teams through a client-facing approach and mindset.
• Able to thrive under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and navigate unexpected delays or last‑moment project adjustments with confidence and flexibility.
• Experience within a professional services or consulting environment is a plus.
• Experience applying AI tools and technologies to learning design and or for operational efficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams to design, develop, and evaluate technical learning programmes.
• Collaborate with Learning Partners to assess and prioritise technical training needs aligned with business goals.
• Advise on best practices and blended learning approaches to address performance challenges.
• Develop learning design proposals with clear outcomes for stakeholders.
• Refine and manage processes, methodologies, and tools for creating, organising, delivering, and evaluating technical learning content.
• Maintain the technical course catalogue reflecting evolving business needs and priorities.
• Design and develop technical learning programmes, and evaluate effectiveness of each programme.
• Review current learning solutions with stakeholders to drive updates and continuous improvement.
• Ensure design principles and timelines are followed to deliver initiatives on time.
• Work with SMEs to develop and review content for accuracy and relevance.
• Apply instructional design principles to create engaging learning experiences, using multimedia resources as appropriate.
• Manage vendor relationships, book dates, negotiate terms, and coordinate high-quality course delivery.
• Coordinate delivery of new courses with the team and provide on-site or remote support as needed.
