Job summary

bet365 is seeking a Technical Lead for the Verification team to drive a ground-up re-architecture using Golang, React and cloud platforms. You will guide real-time facial recognition and core operational tooling, with a focus on high availability and scalable systems.

The role includes mentoring developers, enforcing coding standards, and delivering robust verification solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with leading development solutions.
• Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or Typescript, or experience with similar or alternative technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced in mentoring and coaching a team.
• Good technical documentation skills.
• High standards of work and attention to detail.
• Proven track record in high availability multi browser compatible development.
• Experience of working with high availability, multiuser, service-based systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant discipline, or relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and implementation of robust verification systems.
• Lead a team of developers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee design governance, code quality, and coding standards with the team.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
• Act as escalation point for the team during and outside office hours.
• Review team output and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Estimate work, produce solution documents, and communicate effort clearly.
• Understand the technical structure and architecture of the systems.
• Collaborate with managers and architects to create fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Own technical solutions from development to live and mentor knowledge sharing.
