Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking a senior engineer to act as tech lead for a core engineering team. You will drive design, architecture, and roadmap ownership while staying hands-on in building distributed systems in Linux using C++ or Python.

You will mentor others, shape a high-performing, collaborative group, and foster robust monitoring for live trading infrastructure, with opportunities to re-architect legacy systems as needed. The role offers significant autonomy and ownership.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on coding in any language.
• Experience as a team lead including mentoring and day-to-day management.
• Experience with distributed systems is essential.
• Linux experience highly advantageous.
• Outstanding communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technology roadmap and design practices.
• Lead the build of distributed systems and live trading infrastructure.
