Realex Payments is seeking a Technical Lead in Agentic Commerce Engineering to shape secure, scalable payments infrastructure for AI-driven agent interactions, including tokenization, authentication, and real-time visibility.

You will lead API and SDK design, guide a greenfield squad, mentor engineers, and collaborate with partners to align on standards and practical approaches to agent-led payments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering, with architecture ownership of distributed services.
• Strong cloud-native engineering experience on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Practical understanding of AI-agent systems and safe, auditable payment flows.
• Proven technical leadership including architecture ownership and mentoring engineers.
• Experience designing API-first platforms with clear contracts and testing strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and delivery of secure checkout and payment APIs and SDKs.
• Architect merchant-facing APIs with reliable error handling and comprehensive docs.
• Provide hands-on leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and standards.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards across squads.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners and standards groups on agent-led payments.
