Qualifications

This customer-focused role combines technical aptitude, customer engagement and business development, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to opportunity development and conversion.

The Role

The Technical Internal Sales Representative will serve as the first point of contact for all inbound leads, driving immediate engagement and qualification to accelerate pipeline development. This role is responsible for owning early-stage customer interactions, leading discovery conversations, and progressing opportunities toward conversion.

You'll actively engage customers through calls, email, and virtual meetings, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure opportunities are advanced efficiently from enquiry to to quote and order, while expanding pipeline and improving win rates. You'll also be responsible for generating your own pipeline through proactive prospecting and customer outreach.

  • Follow-up on inbound leads, calling the prospect/customer to conduct preliminary discovery.
  • Pursuing a cadence of follow-up or outreach activities.
  • Scheduling and participating in discovery calls, connecting the prospect/customer with one of our product experts.
  • Proactively hunting, to help expand revenue opportunity.
  • Assist the prospect/customer with product selection.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to inbound prospect customer enquiries, with a view to high levels of customer service, that differentiate us from our competition, to maximise opportunity.
  • Identify and research customers to further develop or reactivate. Initiate meaningful conversations with existing customers through proactive outreach or responding to enquiries with the aim of developing new leads and relationships. Networking to identify decision makers
  • Use a variety of communication methods to be successful, including phone, email, social media, and in person when required.
  • Maintain the CRM system accurately with the customer pipeline, from leads to closing.
  • Move qualified leads through the pipeline and connect them with the right expert, when needed
  • Present the Company’s products and capabilities utilising a variety of methods such as phone, email, webinars, conference calls.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers, identifying potential needs and additional opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Team to maximise lead generation and prospect conversion, meeting individual and Company goals.
  • Assist prospects and customers with product selection.
  • Continually develop and update product and application knowledge.
  • Respond to change positively and productively.

  • 7-10 calls per day across inbound and outreach
  • 7-10 Email/LinkedIn/Other outreach efforts per day
  • 8-12 discovery meetings per month

Qualifications & Experience
  • Ideally, degree qualified in a technical subject.
  • Ideally, at least 5 years of sales experience.
Travel

Limited travel may be required on occasion to develop or support the customer.
