Job Title: IT Technical Infrastructure Manager
Reports to: Head of IT Infrastructure
Job Purpose:
The IT Technical Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for managing all infrastructure (on-premises, cloud-based, or outsourced) and partner performance involved in delivering infrastructure to our central, field-based, and remote site teams. The role also involves contributing to the development of technology, capacity, and resilience of systems to support our business growth and ambitions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily infrastructure services including Hosting, Android and Apple applications, Azure services, Microsoft 365, EPOS, LAN, WAN, Security, Internet, Wi-Fi, and remote access.
- Oversee technical management of Datacentres.
- Manage key infrastructure service suppliers.
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors for infrastructure products and services.
- Drive infrastructure projects internally and with suppliers.
- Define and manage IT Disaster Recovery Strategy for infrastructure services.
- Monitor operational costs related to infrastructure.
- Support IT project delivery to ensure new solutions meet infrastructure design and strategy.
- Maintain appropriate security levels on all infrastructure services.
- Ensure databases are supported, available, and performant.
- Keep infrastructure hardware, applications, and services patched and up to date.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and line management to the infrastructure team.
- Deliver new infrastructure and services, including Azure.
- Document system configurations clearly and consistently.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps in collaboration with Architects and partners.

Person Specification: Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent or relevant practical experience
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure, Modern Workplace, or Business Applications; legacy MCSE considered if applicable
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent experience
- Wireless Design certifications are advantageous
- Microsoft 365 certifications are a plus
Skills / Knowledge:
- Commitment to continuous learning and supporting others' learning
- Strong knowledge of networking, routing, security protocols, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMWare, Microsoft)
- Knowledge of modern storage technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extensive Microsoft 365 experience
- Solid knowledge of public/private clouds, especially Azure
- Strong sourcing and supplier management skills
- Leadership and line management experience
- Experience working within ITIL frameworks
- Ability to bridge business and technical groups
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Experience in retail or hospitality industry is desirable
