Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, basic fabric repairs, and support site operations. You will work with the technical services team to inspect areas, ensure safety, and keep facilities compliant.

The role requires practical skills with hand and power tools, the ability to pass a DBS check, and strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities. On-site training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Site Support: escort and supervise contractors on site.
• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• Experience using hand/power tools and basic building fabric repairs.
• Experience identifying issues with maintenance team support.
• Dexterity, coordination and physical fitness.
• Communication, teamwork, time management, attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Competence with basic software and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Repairs & Maintenance: carry out scheduled and reactive general maintenance tasks and keep technical areas safe and operational.
• Preventative Checks: routine inspections, meter readings and servicing to prevent breakdowns.
• Portable Appliance testing.
• Fire Alarm & Emergency light testing.
• Complete tasks efficiently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Respond to service desk requests per site KPIs.
• Support site operations with additional tasks as needed.
• Maintain health & safety compliance and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out scheduled and reactive general maintenance tasks, assisting with keeping technical areas clean, safe and operational.
• Preventative Checks: Conducting routine inspections, meter readings and servicing to prevent breakdowns.
• Portable Appliance testing.
• Fire Alarm & Emergency light testing
• Completing tasks efficiently and moving between jobs as priorities change.
• Responding to service desk requests in line with site KPI's.
• Completing any reasonable request to support the site operations.
• Compliance: Following health & safety regulations and maintaining standards.

Requirements
