Job summary

Keysight is offering a 12-month placement for students in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering or Physics. You will work across customer-focused teams, solving real problems and gaining commercial experience while supporting sales, technical and service functions.

During the internship you’ll learn about market trends in aerospace, defence, semiconductors, and automotive, and develop practical skills on Keysight core products such as spectrum analyzers,

Qualifications

• Students studying Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering or Physics with solid electronics theory.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn current and future technologies and market trends in Aerospace, Defence, Semiconductor, Communications and Automotive.
• Provide remote pre- and post-sales technical support and gain hands-on experience with Keysight instruments.
• Interface with customers, sales and service reps to handle enquiries and ensure high satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales, service centres and partners for daily operational support.
• Assist in creating and progressing high-value business opportunities through lead generation and analysis.

Join Keysight Technologies where you’ll be working in a stimulating, open and dynamic environment, supporting the needs of Keysight’s customers through a program of activities developed to support Keysight’s Sales, Technical and Support Organisations along with those of our strategic partner companies.
During your internship you will spend time in each of Keysight’s customer focused organisations, primarily you will:

• Gain knowledge of the current and future technologies and market trends within the Aerospace, Defence, Semiconductor, Communications and Automotive industries.
• Learn how to provide remote pre and post‑sales technical support, with the opportunity to gain valuable technical skills, knowledge and hands‑on experience with Keysight’s core products, including spectrum, network analysers, oscilloscopes and basic instrumentation.
• You will be responsible for interfacing with existing or potential customers, sales and/or service representatives to handle a variety of technical and non‑technical enquiries, ensuring a timely resolution to a high level of customer satisfaction at all times.
• You will be working in close collaboration with Keysight’s sales team, service centre organisation and those of our partner companies to provide day‑to‑day operational assistance including handling incoming enquiries, supporting the service centre in the repair and calibration of instruments and provide customer demo and onsite event support.
• Learn how to create, qualify and progress high value business opportunities to the sales and support organisation. This will include lead generation campaigns, market analysis and opportunity research.
  

This is an exciting and diverse role where you will gain experience of working for the world’s leading supplier of Test & Measurement products within the UK’s dynamic technology industry for 12 months.
Qualifications
Students studying towards an Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or Physics degree with solid understanding of electronics theory
