Job summary

TSR Group, based in Redditch, Worcestershire, seeks an experienced Technical Engineer to install, programme, commission and maintain intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, AV, structured data and Smart Home systems across commercial and high-end residential projects in the UK.

Based in Redditch with UK travel, you will work from drawings and surveys, fault‑find and deliver reliable integrated solutions while providing customer training and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and commissioning intruder, CCTV, access control, AV, data and Smart Home systems.
• Knowledge of IP networking, Wi‑Fi and connected building systems.
• Ability to terminate, test and fault-find data cabling and control wiring.
• Confidence reading technical drawings and system schematics.
• Strong trouble‑shooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Install, program and commission commercial access control systems.
• Install and configure intruder alarm systems.
• Install and configure CCTV systems.
• Configure and commission Home Automation (Control4) and Building Automation (Loxone).
• Install and certify structured data cabling and network cabinets.
• Build, terminate and test AV, data and control panels and racks.
• Provide customer demonstrations and training.
• Produce accurate job reports and handover documentation.
• Ensure work meets TSR Group quality and safety standards.
• Assist design team with AutoCAD (training provided).
• Maintain showroom and office IT network.
