Job summary

Smart 1 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to install, service and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV and access control across customer sites in the West Midlands. The role requires a proactive, independent worker with a full UK driving licence and BS EN/PD compliance.

BS7858 screening is essential, and occasional overnight stays may be required. Salary up to £50K plus standby, overtime and overnight fees, with holidays and health benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years installing, servicing and maintaining intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
• BS7858 security screening is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Adherence to BS EN/PD standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, commission and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV and access control to BS EN/PD standards.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
• Complete small works and system upgrades as required.
• Collaborate with engineering team to meet deadlines and targets.
• Maintain accurate RAMS, reports and compliance records.
• Participate in on-call rota and occasional overnight stays.
