Quadris is looking for a Technical Engineer – Infrastructure to work within a small but experienced team, led by the Infrastructure Solutions Competency Manager and Senior Engineers. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary.

The role involves working Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with shift patterns between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. (UK Time), including flexible hours as needed.

About the Role

Quadris provides IT Managed Services and infrastructure solutions across the UK, Europe, and APAC, mainly in healthcare. Our solutions include Dell products, Cisco networking, Citrix, Microsoft, and our Cloud/on-premise platforms, emphasizing a security-first culture.

As a Technical Engineer – Infrastructure, your responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing technical solutions from our approved technology stack.
  2. Producing high-quality documentation.
  3. Collaborating with the Project Management Team to ensure project delivery.
  4. Acting as an escalation point for support teams.
  5. Following incident and change management processes.
  6. Continuously developing technical skills through training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration
  • Knowledge of Linux OS and open-source tech
  • Experience with server racking, stacking, and cabling
  • Proficiency in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
  • Strong networking skills (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN, firewalls)
  • Experience with backup solutions like Veeam, Commvault, Nakivo
  • Familiarity with storage tech (SAN, NAS)
  • Proficiency with VMware ESXi and vCenter

Desirable:

  • Experience in MSP or Professional Services, understanding ITIL
  • Knowledge of Dell EMC storage solutions
  • Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (VxRail, vSAN, Nutanix)
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity experience
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell)
