We are searching for an experienced Technical Director - Ecology at our Cambridge facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

We're looking for a Technical Director - Ecology to grow,manage and support our ecological team, delivering master planning inputs,ecological appraisals, botanical, BNG and protected species surveys andstudies, mitigation design and construction and post-construction supervisionand monitoring.

The ideal candidate would be an established ecologicalconsultant with experience working inecological consultancy and with the following key skills:

Very good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Demonstrable mentoring & coaching skills
Ability to identify opportunities and secure new business /clients in collaboration with the wider team / Directors
Build and maintain strong working relationships with team,colleagues, clients and external bodies
Strong financial and project management skills
An ability to think creatively and strategically
A positive approach to their own professional development
A full understanding and belief in RPS’ Purpose, Promise andBehaviours
Strong knowledge of the technical discipline including thecurrent methods, legislation, techniques and guidance which directs theservices we provide
Demonstrable experience working as an ecological consultantand project management experience
Line management and client relationship management skills
Knowledge of the industry and professional consultancy
Full driving licence

Preferred Qualifications:
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject with consultancy experience
CIEEM membership (Full)
