Job summary

Harron Homes Limited seeks an experienced Technical/Engineering leader to coordinate and deliver architectural, engineering and infrastructure matters from feasibility to completion. You’ll lead technical design, site investigations, and regulatory compliance, while guiding a technical team and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

The role requires substantial management experience, deep knowledge of planning control, water/sewerage design and CDM 2015 duties, with a focus on value

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification or significant relevant experience.
• Significant management experience within engineering/technical teams.
• Knowledge of water/sewerage design, municipal law and administration.
• Detailed understanding of design and construction processes.
• Knowledge of utility companies, procedures, licensing and legislation.
• Strong understanding of planning, development control and Building Regulations.
• Experience of brownfield/formerly developed land and remediation.
• Strong budget and time-management skills.
• Ability to undertake Principal Designer/Designer duties under CDM 2015.
• Self-reliant, commercially minded with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical design, site investigations, engineering, infrastructure and statutory utility requirements.
• Coordinating planning conditions, Building Regulations, LABC/NHBC, warranty and CDM 2015 requirements.
• Managing road/sewer agreements and adoptions, planning and development control.
• Providing technical support to Construction, Commercial and Land teams, including land appraisals.
• Developing programmes, deploying resources and ensuring timely, accurate technical information.
• Managing bonds and liabilities to minimise exposure.
• Identifying commercial and value-engineered solutions to technical challenges.
• Ensuring developments meet company standards and maximise value and marketability.
• Leading and developing the Technical team, promoting engagement, performance and a high-performance culture.
• Managing consultants, authorities and internal stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
• Contributing to senior management decisions, innovation, profitability and wider business performance.
