Job summary

IG Masonry Support Systems, part of the Keystone Group, seeks a Technical Detailer in Cookstown to design and deliver customised masonry support drawings to client specs, working closely with engineers and project teams.

The role is full-time (37 hours per week) based in Cookstown, County Tyrone, with opportunities to develop Tekla Structures and CAD skills while maintaining rigorous document control across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Previous demonstrable experience in structural steel detailing with Tekla structures.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and other design tools.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of construction industry and project workflows.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures per project requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and design information.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and customers to resolve queries.
• Identify discrepancies and installation issues prior to manufacture.
• Make revisions to drawings through the project lifecycle with quality timelines.
• Maintain accurate document control and ensure drawings are issued correctly.

Job Title: Technical Detailer

Location: Cookstown

About the Role

As a Technical Detailer you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering customised masonry support drawings to customer specifications, collaborating closely with clients, project and structural engineers.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role is full-time, 37 hours per week, based in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

The is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with strong structural detailing experience to develop their career ina busy growing environment.

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 2.00pm

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and produce fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures in accordance with project requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and design information.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and customer where applicable to resolve technical queries
• Identify discrepancies and installation issues prior to manufacture.
• Make revisions to drawings as required through the project lifecycle, working to agreed timescales and quality standards
• Ensure accurate and detailed document control is in place to ensure drawings are issued correctly.
