Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking a Tekla Detailer (Structural Steel) in Cookstown, County Tyrone. A £30,000–£40,000 DOE salary is offered with 32 days' holiday, pension and benefits.

You will produce detailed fabrication and GA drawings using Tekla Structures, interpreting technical specs and liaising with engineers and project teams to deliver bespoke steel solutions. Career progression opportunities are available as the team grows. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience using Tekla Structures for fabrication/detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in drawing packages.
• Familiarity with CAD software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed fabrication and GA drawings using Tekla Structures.
• Interpret structural drawings, specifications and construction data.
• Prepare accurate technical details for masonry support systems and related products.
• Liaise with structural engineers, project managers and customers to resolve queries.
• Review drawings to identify discrepancies or installation issues before manufacture.
• Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain drawing records and revision history.
• Collaborate with the wider technical team to meet deadlines.

The Role - Tekla Detailer

• Produce detailed fabrication drawings and general arrangement (GA) drawings using Tekla Structures.
• Interpret structural engineering drawings, technical specifications and construction design information.
• Prepare accurate technical details for bespoke masonry support systems and associated construction products.
• Liaise with structural engineers, project managers and customers to resolve technical queries.
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies or potential installation issues before manufacture.
• Update and revise technical drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate drawing records, document control and revision information.
• Work collaboratively with the wider technical team to ensure drawings meet project requirements and deadlines.

The Person - Tekla Detailer

• Previous experience using Tekla Structures for structural steel or construction detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of construction detailing, fabrication or structural steelwork.
• Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software would be advantageous.
• Keen to develop technically and progress within a growing engineering and construction business.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 2:00pm
• 37 hours per week.
