Qualifications

Technical Delivery Manager - the role, purpose and mission

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a pivotal leadership role, providing a practical mechanism to strengthen technical and people leadership while improving delivery governance, quality, resource utilisation and customer confidence.

As Technical Delivery Manager, you will ensure that projects are delivered predictably, efficiently and to a consistently high standard, while also creating the conditions for the team to operate sustainably and develop their technical and professional capabilities.
Your remit will span proactive workload management, technical guidance, quality assurance, risk and governance oversight, resource planning, and support for customer escalations.

Key Responsibilities and Core Objectives

Team & Technical Leadership

Technically lead, coach and develop the Bulgarian team in close collaboration with the UK technical leadership to ensure global alignment
Provide architectural advice, act as a point of escalation for technical obstacles, and serve as a safety net to guide and support the team through challenging situations
Monitor individual workloads and proactively balance task distribution to prevent burnout and maintain a sustainable pace
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to provide constructive feedback, foster growth and ensure high team morale and motivation

Practice Development

Build and maintain the delivery methodology, including standard project practices: the repeatable process by which the business delivers engagements consistently
Identify gaps in team capability and make recommendations for hiring and development
Help develop Senior Consultants toward Architect level by defining the project practices and delivery experience they need to lead engagements independently

Operations & Governance

Review, tailor and improve current company processes to sustainably support future growth
Create and own governance practices, policy adherence, documentation quality and risk mitigation processes
Assist with resource management and actively participate in planning sessions

Project Delivery & Quality Assurance

Supervise the end-to-end delivery process to ensure all project commitments are met on time and to a high standard
Break down project scopes, assign tasks strategically based on current team demand, and guide the team in accurate task estimation
Support Project Managers in providing realistic and reliable delivery estimates to Broadcom and customers
Participate in customer meetings, handle client escalations, and lead final reviews before customer handover
Review pull requests to ensure strict code quality and adherence to technical best practices
Review project documentation and establish standardised templates to streamline future delivery

Talent Acquisition & Development

Organise, coordinate and participate in candidate interviews
Guide the onboarding and integration of new team members
Identify and suggest training and career development paths for the team
Assist with any other administrative or management tasks as required

Key Skills & Experience

The position requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership presence and a commercially aware, governance-minded approach. Candidates should demonstrate experience in:

Deep technical expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX and vSAN, with hands-on delivery experience
Proven ability to lead complex technical engagements end-to-end, with successful customer outcomes and value
Experience defining or embedding delivery methodologies in a professional services context
Ability to operate and lead with authority across teams without line management: influencing through credibility
Commercial awareness: understanding of how delivery quality and forecast accuracy impact business performance
Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce and review client-facing deliverables to a high standard
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)

Active within the vendor community, attending VMUGs and similar events
