Technical Delivery Manager

£75,000 to £90,000

Reading (Flexible Hybrid)

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central expertise. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and project delivery, with a requirement to remain hands-on where needed.

The successful candidate will lead a team of developers, oversee delivery across multiple projects, and act as a key technical and client-facing stakeholder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a Business Central development team
  • Oversee resource planning, utilisation, performance management, and KPIs
  • Provide technical leadership on architecture, best practices, and solution design
  • Remain hands-on in development when required
  • Manage delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies across projects
  • Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Finance, and senior stakeholders
  • Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver custom solutions
  • Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer, and coding standards are maintained
  • Support development budget planning and cost control
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience leading technical/software development teams
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Solid knowledge of AL development, customisations, and integrations
  • Experience with APIs, web services, and data migration
  • Familiarity with Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience managing team performance, utilisation, and delivery metrics
  • Ideally Microsoft certifications (or willingness to achieve)
  • Experience in a partner or consultancy environment
