ITHR Group plc is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of a new travel mobile application. You will drive the backend-for-frontend service layer, governance, and engineering excellence across multiple teams across the UK.

You will provide technical leadership, shape architecture, implement cloud-native microservices, and establish best practices for testing, deployment, and observability. Strong background in Java/Kotlin and mobile platforms is essential.

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong leadership experience within complex enterprise environments.
• Expert knowledge of Java 17+, Kotlin, Spring, and Gradle.
• Proven experience designing and delivering microservices architectures.
• Strong experience with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies and modern engineering practices.
• Expertise with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability tools such as Sentry.
• Strong background in automated testing and deployment.
• Ideal background includes Mobile Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, Principal Engineer with people management.
