Job summary

Blue Diamond Recruitment, a residential developer, seeks a Technical Coordinator to join the East Midlands team. You will coordinate drawings, technical approvals and project information from planning through construction, working with Technical Managers and the development team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical information, drawings and documentation across multiple residential developments.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and external consultants to obtain and coordinate technical information.
• Review drawings, specifications and design information, identifying discrepancies and potential issues.
• Maintain drawing registers and document management systems with latest revisions.
• Assist with Building Regulations applications, warranty submissions and technical approvals.
• Coordinate highways, drainage and utility approval applications.
• Support submission of technical information throughout development process.
• Work with Technical, Commercial, Construction, Sales, Land and Planning teams to ensure clear communication.
• Respond to technical queries from site teams and help coordinate solutions as they arise.
• Attend design, technical and site meetings as required.
• Monitor consultant deliverables against programmes and follow up on outstanding information.
• Support the Technical Manager with project coordination from pre-construction to completion.
• Help maintain technical standards, processes and documentation across the business.

Blue Diamond Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a residential developer with the appointment of a Technical Coordinator to join its East Midlands team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Coordinator or someone looking to take the next step in their career within house building, residential development, architecture or engineering.

Working alongside Technical Managers and the wider development team, you will play an important role in coordinating drawings, designs, technical approvals and project information to support residential developments from planning through to construction.

The Role

As Technical Coordinator, you will support the technical delivery of multiple residential developments, ensuring drawings, consultant information and technical approvals are coordinated effectively and delivered in line with project programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical information, drawings and documentation across multiple residential developments.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and external consultants to obtain and coordinate technical information.
• Review drawings, specifications and design information, identifying discrepancies and potential issues.
• Maintain drawing registers and document management systems, ensuring teams are working from the latest revisions.
• Assist with Building Regulations applications, warranty submissions and associated technical approvals.
• Coordinate highways, drainage and utility approval applications.
• Support the preparation and submission of technical information required throughout the development process.
• Work closely with Technical, Commercial, Construction, Sales, Land and Planning teams to ensure information is communicated effectively.
• Respond to technical queries from site teams and help coordinate solutions to issues as they arise.
• Attend design, technical and site meetings as required.
• Monitor consultant deliverables against agreed programmes and follow up on outstanding information.
• Support the Technical Manager with project coordination from pre-construction through to completion.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in house building, residential development, architecture, engineering or a related construction discipline.

You may already be working as a Technical Coordinator or Technical Assistant, or you may have an architectural, engineering or construction background and be looking to move into a residential development role.

You will ideally have:

• An understanding of residential construction and the house building or development process.
• Experience working with technical drawings, specifications and design information.
• Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and multiple workstreams.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external consultants.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues and helping to resolve them.
• An understanding of Building Regulations, technical standards and the approvals process.
• The motivation to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility.
