When it comes to delivering successful client outcomes, this team’s reach is far and wide. In fact, its 'wins’ are regularly praised in the weekly inhouse broadcast by the UK CEO. As such, it is a high-profile role, where your achievements will have a real impact internally, as well as with a client list that comprises some of the biggest companies in the country. These include clients from a wide range of industry sectors such as Automotive, Food & Beverage, Tech and Engineering, including those who pay 8-figure premiums.

This Technical Team is staffed by some of the most gifted claims professionals in the market, many of whom have made the transition into broking from insurer or loss adjusting backgrounds.

This specialist team deals with referrals made from Claims Advisors and Claims Executives from across the branch network, where specialist Property knowledge is required to handle particularly complex losses, insurer declinatures, challenge wordings and adjustments, and quantum queries.

In addition, you will be required to attend client visits occasionally and, as a senior team member, assist with training and developing less-experienced colleagues, as well as handling ad hoc technical referrals.

Each loss being unique, there is no 'one-size-fits-all’ approach to managing claims as complex as those handled by this team. For example, in some cases, you may only be involved once difficulties arise, while in others, you may handle the loss from the start—taking initial notification and establishing coverage. In either case, you will provide expert guidance and technical analysis throughout, striving to obtain the best possible settlement terms for your clients.

It is essential that you have extensive experience dealing with large, complex, and contagious Property losses.

You must be a natural problem-solver, solutions-focused, and capable of understanding arguments and different viewpoints to interpret and challenge policy wordings to drive positive client outcomes. Well-organized, with exceptional task-management skills, you should be able to work autonomously. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are required, along with the ability to produce reports, documentation, and management information.
