Job summary

FANUC UK Limited is seeking a Technical Buyer to source goods and services for projects and operations, ensuring supplier costs, lead times, capability and risks are understood before purchasing commitments.

You will collaborate with Sales, Proposals, Engineering, Project Management and Finance to secure cost-effective supplier arrangements and contribute to profitable project delivery.

Qualifications

• Sourcing goods and services for projects and operations.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Assess supplier capability, lead times and risks.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Finance and Project teams.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Supplier Management: source and qualify suppliers.
• Lead supplier selection, evaluation and approvals.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and supply agreements; monitor performance.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and manage procurement KPIs.
• Support projects by providing supplier input during early stages and meetings.
• Ensure purchasing actions comply with company policies and procedures.
• Coach and support the Procurement Assistant and cross-functional teams.
