Job summary

The Keystone Group, including Thor Helical, is seeking a Technical and Business Development Manager based in Cookstown, NI. You will drive global sales growth, develop new business opportunities, and maintain strong customer relationships across the UK, Europe, US and beyond.

You will discuss technical solutions with customers, demonstrate products, and achieve sales targets while travelling internationally as required.

• Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and specifiers.
• Attend trade exhibitions and industry events.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain sales pipeline and CRM with accurate data and follow-ups.
• Undertake other duties related to the role as the business evolves.

Job Title: Technical and Business Development Manager (N.Ireland based)

Location: Cookstown (BT80 9DG)

About the Role

Based from our Cookstown headquarters, reporting to the Managing Director of Keyfix Ltd, the Technical and Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth globally within Thor Helical, part of The Keystone Group of companies. With an international network of world class distribution partners you will be responsible for developing existing and new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, providing technical product guidance and achieving sales targets across the UK, Europe, US and Australia/New Zealand.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious and driven sales professional with experience in construction products who enjoys developing new business and building long term customer relationships. They will be confident in discussing technical solutions with customers and consistently achieve sales targets.

Location: Cookstown based, with ongoing international travel across all geographical regions to be expected.

What you'll be doing

• Working primarily with the distributors, customers, contractors, builders and merchants across all geographical areas, you will identify and develop new business opportunities across all customer and market sectors, maintaining excellent business relationships at all levels.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular communication, visits and follow up. Customer meetings may be held at head office or remote depending on requirements.
• You will prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close out sales opportunities ensuring schedules and quotes are created within agreed timeframes, and all opportunities are tracked and closed.
• Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and specifiers.
• Attend trade exhibitions, networking events and industry meetings
• Work closely with the quality and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and pricing.
• Manage the sales pipeline and update Keylink (CRM) daily, ensuring all relevant information is captured and any follow-up actions are scheduled, i.e. appointments, visit / call reports, actions, leads, project tracking, diary management and tasks
• As the company expands and due to ongoing changes in market conditions and the business environment, it is a requirement of the position to undertake any other reasonable task related to the position you hold.

Whatwe're looking for

• Proven experience in B2B sales within the construction or building materials industry
• Experience selling masonry reinforcement, fixings or specialist construction products would be desirable
• Knowledge of construction methods and specification sales
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
