Humankind Recruitment is seeking a Senior Technology Business Analyst (Solutions Analyst) to join a growing retail tech team in Tunbridge Wells. You will bridge business needs with technical delivery, owning core business systems and driving improvements across multiple platforms.

Ideal candidates will translate business requirements into clear specifications, work with CRM, PIM, WMS, CDP and e-commerce platforms, and lead cross-functional workstreams. Hybrid role with two days on site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Solutions Analyst.

Senior Technology Business Analyst (Solutions Analyst)

Location: Tunbridge Wells (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
Salary: £47,000 per annum

We're recruiting on behalf of an established and growing retail business looking to appoint an experienced Senior Technology Business Analyst (Solutions Analyst) to join their Technology team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology, taking ownership of key business systems while driving improvements across multiple platforms. You'll work closely with stakeholders, development teams and third-party vendors to ensure business systems remain efficient, reliable and aligned with organisational goals.

The Role

As a Senior Technology Business Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into clear technical specifications while supporting the ongoing development and optimisation of core business systems.

You'll become the subject matter expert for a portfolio of enterprise applications, leading projects, coordinating enhancements and helping shape technology solutions that improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.

• Act as the subject matter expert for key business applications across the technology estate.

• Own and support business-critical platforms, ensuring they remain operational, efficient and fit for purpose.

• Work closely with developers, third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and improvements.

• Lead project workstreams from requirements gathering through to implementation and delivery.

• Monitor system performance, coordinate issue resolution and support system upgrades and releases.

• Maintain system documentation, process maps and technical specifications.

• Drive continuous improvement across business processes and technology platforms.

• Build strong relationships across the business, ensuring technology solutions meet operational and commercial needs.

• Mentor junior Systems Analysts and support knowledge sharing within the team.

• Participate in the team's out-of-hours on-call rota.

About You

We're looking for someone who can confidently work with both technical teams and business stakeholders, with experience delivering technology solutions within a commercial environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Solutions Analyst.

• Experience working with enterprise business systems such as CRM, PIM, WMS, CDP, e-commerce platforms or similar.

• Strong experience translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

• Experience working alongside software developers and third-party technology partners.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience leading projects or managing multiple workstreams.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience using Jira and Microsoft Office.

• The ability to prioritise multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

• Experience within retail, e-commerce or digital commerce.

• Exposure to reporting, business intelligence or data analysis.

• SaaS platform administration or configuration experience.

• Previous mentoring or coaching experience.
