Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Technical Complex Claims Handler – Bodily Injury to join our hybrid team in the UK. The role involves proactively managing a portfolio of bodily injury cases, investigating liability and third party quantum claims, and achieving fair outcomes within policy and legal liability.

Applicants should have strong Bodily Injury claims expertise, motor claims experience, and solid knowledge of litigation processes.

Qualifications

• Strong technical claims knowledge in relation to Bodily Injury, with recent motor claims experience.
• Good knowledge of litigation processes (Fast Track/Stage 3).
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively.
• Customer centric approach with strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships between customers and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to enable early liability decisions and negotiate outcomes for customers.
• Settle Third Party Claims within authority and reference best-practice strategies.
• Identify potential fraudulent cases and liaise with relevant departments.
• Manage the customer experience and adhere to Treating Customers Fairly and internal processes.
