Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Technical Auditor for a full-time role in York. You will ensure compliance with Assurance objectives, conduct detailed checks, and uphold quality and food safety standards within the facility.

Daily duties include reporting to the Technical Manager, performing audits across departments (GMP, Glass & Hard Plastic, Maintenance), managing temperature and data logger tests, collecting DNA/micro samples, and documenting quality records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical auditing or quality control role within a related industry.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance standards and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and address non-conformance issues.
• Proficient in using various quality testing and auditing tools.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Technical Manager on conformance with the Assurance objectives and any breakdowns or failures in Quality Control procedures.
• Conduct thorough and detailed compliance checks daily within each factory department, reporting non-conformances to managers and supervisors.
• Perform internal audits on checks including Glass & Hard Plastic, Maintenance, GMP, and more per schedule.
• Manage and monitor temperatures and air quality daily, and conduct weekly data logger tests.
• Take responsibility for collecting and analyzing DNA swabs, micro samples, and ensure all quality management paperwork is filed and stored for easy retrieval.
• Verify compliance and completion of factory quality paperwork and maintain site calibration certification.
• Address customer complaints, ensuring they are actioned timely and investigate root causes where applicable.

• Report to the Technical Manager on overall conformance with the company's Assurance objectives and any breakdowns or failures in Quality Control procedures.

• Perform internal audits on various checks including Glass & Hard Plastic, Maintenance, GMP, and more as per the defined schedule.
• Manage and monitor temperatures and air quality daily, and conduct weekly data logger tests.
