Job description

oin us in a role where data, systems and process improvement come together to support one of the UK's most ambitious restoration programmes.

As a Technical Assurance Data Coordinator, you will transform fragmented data, spreadsheets, registers and reporting processes into efficient, reliable and auditable solutions that improve accuracy, traceability and consistency. Using your analytical skills and digital expertise, you will improve reporting, streamline workflows and ensure critical information is accurate, auditable, accessible and trusted across the programme.

This role sits within the Technical Assurance and Design Management team rather than a dedicated digital or data function. As a result, you will need to be a confident self-starter, capable of working independently, identifying solutions, and driving improvements with limited day-to-day technical support.

Using advanced Microsoft tools, including Excel, Power Query, Power BI, DAX, SharePoint and Power Automate, you will develop and maintain reporting, governance information and auditable records, helping to establish a single source of truth for assurance activities and evidence-based reporting.

This is a hands-on role that combines data management, reporting and process improvement with practical coordination and administrative support. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving trackers, registers, dashboards and reports, coordinating actions and supporting governance and assurance activities across the programme.

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and technically capable individual who enjoys solving problems, working independently and driving continuous improvement within a complex programme environment.

You will bring:

  • Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Query, DAX and SharePoint, with experience developing dashboards, automating processes and managing complex datasets.
  • Experience working within complex projects, engineering, construction or programme environments would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to operate effectively outside a dedicated digital team, take ownership of problems and continuously improve processes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to a range of audiences

Salary circa £40,000 per annum.

Benefits include:
  • Time off and Flexibility- 30 days holiday plus public holidays, Hybrid working with minimum 2 days in office
  • Recognition and Financial Rewards- Pension - up to 10% employer contribution, Life assurance of 4 x salary, Group income protection, Professional membership fees, discretionary bonus scheme, financial wellbeing assistance, retail, gym & travel discounts, Season ticket loan, Electrical Vehicle Scheme, Smart Tech purchase scheme, Cycle to work scheme and up to 5 days paid volunteering leave
  • Health and Wellbeing - Employee Assistance Programme & Online GP

We are committed to promoting diversity and equal opportunities in employment. We are building diverse teams and seek to attract and retain talented individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures to join us on this hugely challenging and important project.

Selection Process

To be considered for this role, applicants must submit both a CV and a cover letter. We will not review applications that do not include a cover letter. Please use your cover letter to demonstrate your suitability for the position and declare any current or potential conflicts of interest. Candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to complete a practical assessment designed to evaluate their proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management, data analysis and reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with complex datasets, are essential for success in this role and will form an important part of the assessment process.

We look forward to receiving your completed application by 12 noon on 11 September 2026.
