Job summary

CNA Hardy is hiring an Assistant Underwriter to join the Technology Underwriting team. The role focuses on developing underwriting skills and technical knowledge while supporting the business plan execution and managing existing accounts.

You will handle renewals and new business within authority, build relationships with brokers and clients, and contribute to business plans, reports and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of underwriting/broking experience.
• Clear understanding of business objectives and the insurance market.
• Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical abilities with sound judgement.
• Confident communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle renewals and write new business within underwriting authority.
• Develop relationships with brokers, clients, reinsurers and Lloyd's contacts.
• Spot growth opportunities and contribute to business plans and reports.
• Maintain accurate policy, aggregate and syndicate records across systems and files.
• Support portfolio performance through monitoring, data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
