Job summary

News UK is seeking a procurement professional to own technology and broadcasting supplier sourcing, with a focus on software solutions and professional services. You will partner with Technology, Editorial Digital Products, and MarTech to drive cost savings and ensure robust supplier management.

You will manage full sourcing lifecycles, conduct spend analysis, and lead negotiation across complex programs while ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• In-depth procurement knowledge of technology-based goods and services.
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of sourcing programs, including spend analysis, tendering, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience conducting internal financial analysis, market benchmarking, and business case profiling to support spend reviews.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to secure the best outcomes.
• Understanding of basic contracts to facilitate supplier agreements.
• Self-starting with ability to work independently on projects.
• Excellent relationship-building to manage stakeholders and partners.
• Passionate, principled approach with a drive to deliver high-standard work and embrace new opportunities.
• Level 4 CIPS qualification or above is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure technology-based and broadcasting suppliers, focusing on software solutions and professional services.
• Collaborate with internal units: Technology, Editorial Digital Products, MarTech, and Broadcasting.
• Grow and develop the range of categories supported by procurement.
• Deliver measurable cost savings and cost avoidance on managed categories.
• Ensure supplier due diligence and adherence to policies with finance, legal, cyber security, and data protection teams.
• Complete governance documents and procurement activity reports.
• Work with affiliate and parent companies on cross-entity, global programs.
• Act as a trusted procurement advisor for your category responsibilities.
