Job summary

Bet365 in Manchester is seeking a Technical Lead to spearhead a ground-up re-architecture of core platforms, guiding a full-stack team through a migration to Golang, React and cloud-native services. You will mentor engineers, ensure high availability and multi-user support, drive scalable, well-documented solutions, and collaborate with managers and architects to deliver fit-for-purpose systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading development solutions.
• Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or TypeScript.
• Mentoring and coaching of team members.
• Technical documentation skills.
• Experience with high availability, multi-browser compatible development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Apply active governance around solution design and coding standards.
• Drive scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
• Act as escalation point for the team during/off hours.
• Monitor team output and adherence to goals.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Manage work estimation and produce solution documents.
• Understand system architecture and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Oversee solutions from development to live deployment.
• Mentor and share knowledge with team members.
