Job summary

bet365 Group seeks a Technical Lead to drive a ground-up re-architecture of core platforms within the Risk & Regulatory team, leveraging Golang, React, and cloud-based tech. The role offers a hybrid work-from-home policy and requires strong governance of design, quality, and standards.

You will mentor engineers, ensure scalable and high-availability systems, and collaborate with managers and architects to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. This is a full-time position in Manchester, UK.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience leading development solutions.
• Knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .Net, Golang or TypeScript.
• Effective mentoring and coaching of team members.
• Technical documentation skills.
• Experience working with high availability, multiuser, service-based systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Apply active governance around overall solution design, code quality, and coding standards.
• Drive the provision of scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
• Act as a point of escalation for the team both in and out of office hours.
• Monitor the team’s adherence and output.
• Ensure solutions meet the needs of the Business.
• Manage work estimation and produce solution documents.
• Understand the technical structure, domain, and architecture of the systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including managers and Architects, to create fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Oversee technical solutions from development to live at a low level; facilitate knowledge transfer and mentor team members.
