HSBC Group is seeking a hands-on tech lead to supervise and guide a global data-engineering team. You will shape solution design, ensure resilient production deployments, and contribute to both development and operational activities.

You will work with architects, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions, while promoting Agile/DevOps practices and high-quality testing.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on development and team leadership experience.
• Strong design and implementation skills for data engineering solutions.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices in complex environments.
• Ability to communicate technical detail to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with multi-site teams (UK/India/China/Poland/Mexico).
• Knowledge of testing libraries and unit/integration tests; able to cite examples.
• Knowledge of CDP 7.1, HDFS, Unix, Elasticsearch.

Aufgaben

• Lead and develop a technical team of ~45 members.
• Guide solution design and implement changes while ensuring resilience and performance.
• Hands-on development and analysis; not just management.
• Balance change and run responsibilities across global teams.
• Interact with architects, other systems and stakeholders.
• Represent the platform in senior meetings and maintain strong communication.
