Job summary

Dayshape is hiring a Tech Lead in Edinburgh to guide a product engineering team focused on scalable, AI-enhanced resource management platforms. You’ll own features end-to-end, mentor engineers, and influence architecture while collaborating with product managers to shape the roadmap.

You’ll split time between technical planning and delivery, with line-management responsibilities as the team grows. Hybrid working from the UK is supported.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a software engineering team of 2–6 developers.
• Strong grounding in architecture, design decisions, and technical ownership.
• Experience guiding product features from prioritisation to delivery.
• Familiarity with agile development and large-scale web apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team.
• Own features and technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Balance technical work with people management as the team grows.
• Collaborate with product managers to prioritise scope and roadmap.
• Analyze, code, test, and ship new features and improvements.
• Support architects and designers in decisions and reviews.
• Hire additional engineers and promote learning culture.
• Drive objectives and key results with leadership peers.
