Job summary

Netcompany is seeking a Tech Lead Developer in London, England. This role focuses on technical leadership, hands-on coding, and delivering high-quality software across diverse projects in a technology consultancy environment.

You will drive architecture, collaborate with product and delivery teams, and mentor engineers while working with Python, TypeScript, React and cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams and defining technical strategy for multiple services.
• Full-stack or backend background with Python and TypeScript.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or Azure and IaC with Terraform.
• Experience delivering UK Government digital services with knowledge of GDS/NHS standards.
• Strong collaboration across Product, UCD and Delivery teams.
• Ability to balance technical, user and business needs in decision-making.
• Advocacy for user-centred design and accessible practices (WCAG).
• Willing to travel to client sites across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction and architecture across multiple services.
• Hands-on coding while guiding the team to deliver high-quality software.
• Drive full lifecycle delivery from design through QA and delivery.
• Mentor and coach developers to foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
• Conduct code reviews and optimise processes for quality.
• Translate customer requirements into robust technical designs.
