Job summary

Cera in Manchester is seeking an experienced Extra Care Registered Manager to lead and grow our Extra Care Services. You will develop teams, implement person-centred care, and ensure high standards in partnership with local authorities.

This role requires strategic, commercial leadership with a focus on compliant delivery, budget oversight, and continuous improvement across schemes. You will collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and other central teams to expand service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated care environment.
• SVQ/NVQ Diploma level 5 Health and Social Care desirable but not essential.
• Registered with SSSC (Scotland only).
• Knowledge of Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
• Leader capable of guiding a team and managing budgets.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience as a manager in extra care/supported living.
• Experience with service users with additional support or complex needs.
• Commitment to delivering excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Adopt a Carer-first approach to improve care in schemes.
• Oversee personalised support packages aligned to identified outcomes.
• Review and amend service packages with staff and central teams.
• Regularly evaluate goals and drive improvements.
• Audit records to ensure regulatory and quality standards.
• Oversee implementation of Cera policies and take corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and Cera requirements across services.
• Maintain operations within budget as agreed with leadership.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to monitor weekly spend.
• Develop relationships with Business Development and Local Authorities for new contracts.
• Join Skills for Care Managers Network and raise industry profile.
• Plan and attend regular stakeholder meetings.
