Stellar Entertainment in Guildford is seeking a Technical Artist to bridge Art and Engineering for our next unannounced AAA project. You will optimise asset pipelines, mentor artists, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver standout visuals.

We value strong Unreal Engine and DCC tool experience, shader/lighting know-how, and a passion for pushing technical boundaries. The role offers a flexible hybrid setup and access to cutting-edge hardware.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showing both artistic and technical skills.
• Proven experience as a Technical Artist with shipped titles.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine, Maya, or 3DS Max.
• Experience with scripting to improve workflows (C++, Python, MEL or similar).
• Strong understanding of shaders, lighting and rendering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Creatively solving technical problems with a workflow focus.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers to optimise asset creation workflows.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to art teams.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver key features.
• Optimize assets for performance and scalability.
