Job summary

Stellar Entertainment in Guildford, UK, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our core tech team. You will write clean C++ code, build scalable engine architectures and collaborate with graphics, gameplay, engine and tools teams to deliver key features.

You will profile and resolve CPU/GPU/memory performance issues while ensuring high-quality outputs from system designs down to individual functions. A hybrid setup with on-site work is offered in a vibrant game-dev hub.

Qualifications

• Experience in game development through all stages, with strong optimisation and porting knowledge.
• Strong understanding of hardware across different platforms.
• Strong C++ skills with multithreading, design patterns and systems architecture.
• Familiarity with game engine architectures across multiple engines, including proprietary.
• Good problem solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-documented C++ code in line with project standards.
• Build scalable, data-driven architectures within engine infrastructure.
• Conduct technical assessment of engine and game systems with Lead Systems Engineer.
• Collaborate across departments to design and deliver key engine features.
• Profile and resolve performance issues across CPU, GPU and memory.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable output from system design to functions.
